A few of my favorite things

There it was staring back at me — a giant I 💜 YOU.

I don’t know if I’ll ever get tired of the messages my children leave me. I find them on the mirror, in the tub of shea butter, and on post-its. They still walk around chirping I love yous at random times in the day.

A little love goes a long way.

But sadly, there have been days when I’ve been worn down and I’ve “missed” the messages. I saw them but, I didn’t receive the joy I could have from them. I thought about the mirror that would need cleaning, the wasted paper, and the annoyance of being asked to maneuver around a note in the shea butter tub.

Honestly, it feels embarrassing for me to admit all that. There’s a tiny piece of me that wants to judge myself, but there’s a part of me that accepts that some days are just hard and we can show ourselves some self-compassion.

I also know that with the High Vibe Habits, I can help myself get to a better place. And that matters. How you feel matters. Our best changes based on how we feel. What we have to offer and what we receive is dependent on our energetic state. We know it and everyone around us feels it.

It’s easy to get wrapped up with all the things that need to get done and the tasks that come along with parenting, marriage, and careers. But I invite you to slow down ever so slightly in your pursuits, so you don’t overlook the little gifts all around you. As you set out to create another great year, remember:

Happiness never disappears. Sometimes we’re just moving too quickly to experience it.

The warmth of the sun, the feeling of a small hand in yours, the space you take up in loving embrace, a smile, laughter, a penny on the ground, or a message in the mirror. Noticing these small tokens are enough to create a lifetime of joy.

Stay high-vibe my friends.

Sending all my love and gratitude. xx
