A new me

Have you ever gone through something, or experienced something, and think, wow, I feel like a new me?!

I’ve had this feeling after doing something really restorative (like a massage), a great workout, or after standing up for myself.

I reached a major milestone last week. I submitted my manuscript to my publisher. Afterwards, I felt myself on a high. I felt grateful, proud, and at peace - like I had climbed a mountain and stopped to appreciate the view. This time when I caught myself in the act of this thought, I realized I’m not a ‘new’ me. I’m actually just plain me, original me. The me that isn’t worried, concerned about what someone else thinks, and takes good care of myself. It’s a feeling of being my best me.

That saying has always made me feel like I’d become something I wasn’t. The truth is sometimes I make choices that bring out the truest expression of myself. It’s important to sit with this amazing feeling within you, because it also signals to us how often we are showing up as something other than our true selves.

High-vibe living is a judgement-free zone where Curiosity lets us investigate how we can support ourselves and free ourselves from the thought blocks we create that encourage us to show up in less powerful ways.

Where have you experienced this “new-you” effect?

We can use this biofeedback (signals from our body) from feeling good to recognize what we have always been meant to feel, do, be, or have. Pay attention to what makes you feel energized. And let it inspire you to do more of it.

‘New’ versions of ourselves aren’t something that we weren’t before. They are actually strong energetic highs that come from alignment - from actually getting to be who we truly are.
